At this meeting, the strategy for the Public Meeting on Thursday 20th January at 7.30pm in Whiteparish Village Hall was discussed.
Invitations have been extended to Parish Councillors in Downton, Redlynch, Alderbury and Grimstead.
Prior to this date, a group of influential people will meet to consider the options open to us. It is hoped a representative from a professional organization used to opposing such schemes will attend.
Press Releases will be sent to all local media organizations.
A Flyer will be printed for distribution to villagers.
A number of villagers are prepared to deliver leaflets, write letters, etc.
Methods of financing the campaign were debated - whether voluntary contributions should be elicited, all charges met by the precept (local council tax), or a combination of the two.
The idea of a village meeting prior to the 20th January was also examined; it was thought better to wait to hear what Rachel Ness has to say.
