All Saints School
is a Church of England Aided Primary School. This implies
strong links with the local Parish Church and with the Salisbury
Diocese; and there is a daily act of collective worship.
The school serves the Whiteparish area, though applications
can be considered from outside Whiteparish provided certain
conditions are met.
Established as long ago as 1842, the school
has been considerably expanded in recent years and can now
accommodate up to 110 children in four classes in light and
airy classrooms. Currently there is a teaching staff of seven.
Children are admitted in September or in January, depending
on birthday, and school uniform is compulsory.
The 2005 Ofsted inspection resulted in what Paul Sorrell (then chairman
of governors) was delighted to sum up as "a glowing report".

The school also received a very positive report from a recent
Inspection of Denominational Education, and a summary is

The relatively small size of the yearly intake
means that All Saints School has sometimes not had
enough eligible pupils to feature in the published SATS tables.
Nevertheless, results for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 are
good, and for three years running the school received
an "'Excellence
Award' from the DFES in recognition of its superior performance.
The most recent SATs results were once again very good with 100% of children achieving
level 4 and over 50% of the cohort achieving level 5 in all three subjects.
2005 is the third year in the last four that the year 6 children have all achieved level 4 in all subjects.
School hours are from 8.45 am to 3.00 pm, with a 45-minute supervised
lunch break starting at 1210 pm. Most children bring their
own packed lunch but these can also be purchased from the
school. Extra-curricular activities that may be provided
include educational visits within school hours; also clubs
and special activities which may be held outside school hours
and may entail a charge to cover costs. Examples of clubs
and special activities provided in the past have included
musical instrument and singing tuition, drama, dance, art,
football, tennis, cycling proficiency, judo, and megaquest.
Whiteparish is in the catchment area of the two Salisbury grammar schools,
and of Downton secondary school.
There is a very active PTA, and many parents help the school in other
ways too, with activities both inside and outside the classroom.
