ABOUT THE CARNIVAL AND FETE

Each year, many individuals and organisations in Whiteparish work together to stage the village's summer Carnival, Fete, and associated events. Profits go to benefit All Saints' Church and All Saints' Primary School.

The 2007 Carnival and Fete will be held on Saturday 16th June.

Friday 15th June will be the Family Music night with the Hog Roast, BBQ, and great local groups.

Wednesday 13th June will see a Car Boot Sale, a Rounders Match, and a BBQ.

This year the fete will be opened by Therese the camel, and we will plan a theme for the day around that—details next month.

Can you please look out any old china that you have and either store it for us or ask a committee member to collect it ?

There will be an update each month to report progress on planning the events.

Entries for the Art, Poem, and Model categories to be delivered to the school on Friday 15 June by 9am. The classes for all the competitions are Preschool, Key stage 1, Key stage 2, and Others (which will include any adults who wish to take part). All entries will be displayed in the Church on Fete day. Again, the theme is Journeys to the East. Please clearly label the items with Name, Age, and Class ready for judging

Raffle tickets and bottle stall  donations

Sales of raffle tickets and the bottle stall bring in a large percentage of the fete takings. This year we plan to deliver a bag to as many homes in the village as we can visit around the end of May which will have some raffle tickets inside for you to purchase (hopefully !) and a label to put on any of the bottles you might like to donate for the bottle stall.  All labels will be put into a draw to win £20.

There will be details in the bag of when counterfoils , cash , unsold tickets and bottles will be collected—or alternatively you may wish to deliver those items to the school. Please look out for the bags and be as generous as you can to get our fete off to a flying start.

Car boot sale, etc

There will be a car boot sale , a fun rounders match , BBQ and bar on the Memorial ground on Tuesday 12 June. The car booters will be able to set up from 5pm—with proceedings kicking off at 6pm.  The car boot fee will be £5 per vehicle.
