BRICKWORTH CROSS ROADS

NEW ROAD APPLICATION FOR MOOR FARM ACCESS

CLOSING DATE FOR OBJECTIONS - 30 JUNE 2000

IT IS IMPORTANT YOU WRITE YOUR OBJECTIONS TO:

Director Environmental Services, Ref GGW/
Wiltshire County Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, Wilts, BA14 8JD

WHAT IS AT STAKE:

Planning consent for this road will increase the probability of Moor Farm becoming a landfill site for household waste from Wiltshire and the surrounding counties along with the establishment of a recycling centre with incineration.

ANY NEW ROAD APPLICATION ASSOCIATED WITH MOOR FARM SHOULD INCLUDE A NEW APPLICATION FOR SAND EXTRACTION AND WASTE LANDFILL

The current planning application suggests that this is solely for a new road. It should therefore be rejected, as it contains no proposal for sand extraction or landfill application and cannot be justified on current consents

THIS APPLICATION ESTABLISHES A NEW ROAD WITH THE TRAFFIC LIGHTS AT BRICKWORTH GARAGE BECOMING A 4 STAGE CROSSROADS

This will increase congestion at Brickworth Corner, causing increased tailbacks throughout the day especially at peak hours

VISITING PEPPERBOX HILL, A SPECIAL SITE OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST,
THE NEW ROAD WILL:

create another eyesore in a Special Landscape Area, increase pollution in dust,
litter and dirty vehicle gases

MASSIVE LORRY INCREASE AT WHITEPARISH STREET

Whiteparish Street is single lane road. The proposal suggests initially some 100 lorry movements per day - many through Whiteparish.

Mr Lander, Wiltshire County Council, objected to the Sherfield English Crusher because there was no a routeing agreement to avoid Whiteparish.

THERE ARE VARIOUS SPECIES OF BUTTERFLY AND FAUNA
in that area and any new road with its dust and pollution could increase

the demise of these species.
